Synopsys 1999.05 help index:

Previous versions of Synopsys would not run on xterminals. This version has not yet been tested on xterminals.

We have seen some errors in the past running Cossap under a shell other than csh/tcsh or ksh.

NOTE: We would appreciate it if anyone can determine whether these issues are still present in the current version.

Synopsys 1999.05 uses standard setup scripts. You must type

setup synopsys

to use this application. If you want to run this version of the software even if other versions are available, use synopsys-1999.05 instead of synopsys in your setup statement.

See "helpme setup" for information on finding out what versions are available or what to do if the setup statement does not work.

Output is limited to postscript printers. You can either print to a postscript file or directly to one of the postscript printers. The default printer is laser. If you want to change this to something else, then you will need to make the appropriate modification to the print command. See "helpme printing-unix" for more instructions on how to do this.
