Hspice is a general purpose circuit simulation program.
Hspice is available on all HP.
Hspice is available on all Sun Unix workstations, but not through Reflection.
Hspice is not available on Linux machine.
To use this application, type the following command:
See "helpme setup" for information on finding out what versions are available or what to do if the setup statement does not work.
Two applications are available, hspice and awaves.
If outputfile is omitted then the output is sent to stdout.
If the & is omitted the job is run in foreground mode. The simulation text output, which has been redirected from stdout, will be stored in the file *.lis . This file will contain some diagnostic information, if there are syntax errors, or other problems.
The graphical output from the .PLOT DC statement will be stored in a file called *.sw*.
Click on Design -> Open ... This will bring up a dialog box.
Click on Filter and then click the Raw output button. This will display the list of output files in the directory that awaves was started, causing the *.sw* *.tr* and *.ac* files to appear in the Files box. Double Click on the file you want to open.
Double clicking on the file will open the Results Browser window.
The first display area lists the simulation outputs. The Types display area allows you to select between voltages and currents for output plotting.
Select voltages, by clicking on Voltages.
The circuit nodes names are then displayed in the Curves display area.
Click on a node (e.g., vout) with the middle mouse button and drag it into the original AvanWaves window. This will cause the voltage on this node to be displayed. Repeat the click and drag on vin to display it as well.
