This software will allow you to use the systems to record and playback sound. You will need to supply the microphone and/or headphones yourself. A pair of walkman headphones work fine for both. Most systems have internal speakers, but please show consideration for other lab users if you wish to use the speaker.

RUNNING

There are a few programs you can run. More information about these programs is available in the man pages (e.g. type man send_sound to see the man page on send_sound). 
acontrol       Allows you to adjust recording levels and playback levels.
audio_editor   Basic recorder/editor for sound files.
send_sound     Command line program that allows you to playback sound files.
               When sounds are played back, Mosaic calls send_sound to do
               the job.
